How to be level 80

Howe to be level 80 ? That's what we're going to see

1. Start with the Basics: Choosing Your Fighting Style

When starting in GPO, you can choose a fighting style that aligns with your goals, whether it’s swordsmanship, gun mastery, or Devil Fruit abilities. Here’s a quick breakdown:

  • Sword Mastery: I personally believe Sword Style (Aka 1ss) is the best for grinding from its high damage, capability in every situation but also the amount of stamina necessery to unleashed skills but even any weapons you can find ingame depending of which you are the most comfortable with. It is ideal for players who seek gaining advantage within the distance in a close-ranged match-up (All weapons) but also using strong skills that can break guard, shoot ranged skills but also good close ranged ones (1ss). You have no idea how such a small difference of distance with a fister/kicker can afford to win a matchup whenever both you and your enemy press on m1 at the same time.
  • Gun Mastery: There is currently no fighting style about gun mastery unfortunetly. You do though can add points in it but honestly its will put you alot in disadvantage for alot of reason… The first reason is that this is insanely boring but also will take very long before killing a mob since you gotta reload at each shoot from EVERY weapon. While there IS powerful guns in the game they are unobtainable and untradable if your lvl is too low.
  • Strength Mastery: Now strength is an interesting one, mostly since the update that some weapons have now scaled with it, though at the current level you must be (betwen 1-80) there is no point talking about it. Although, strength scale with 2 fighting style that are the only ones available for your current level. I am talking about Black Leg and Rokushiki, if Black Leg is the DPS betwen the 2 then Rokushiki is the tank ! Black Leg cost very low in stamina and offer alot of damage with some nice AoE and break guard which give some useful combo but suffer from a lack of reach. Meanwhile, Rokushiki give you advantage in term of utility such as teleporting dash, being a literal china wall with Tekkai and having a useful breakguard with shigan though… His lack of damage and possibility to combo is quite hurtful to see.
  • Devil Fruit: I will be hated for this but Grand Piece Online is NOT Blox Fruit. I say so because having a fruit (depending of which) actually do not put you necesserly in an advantage while grinding and MOSTLY if we are talking about mythical fruit and legendary ! No seriously, while fruits does give alot of capability in term of damage but also utility, its cost of stamina can be unbearable for a lower level. I suggest having a fruit when you reach atleast level 100 but even so it is not necessery to grind well and be strong.

Here is all the fruits that you can grind properly with:

    Commun: Spin
    Rare: Mero, Horo, Gomu, Bomu
    Epic: Yomi
Legendary: Gura, Suna, Goro, Mera, Magu, Yuki, Moku
    Mythical: Mochi, Venom, Ryu

If you’re new, start with a style that suits you but be open to switching if you find a Devil Fruit that boosts your gameplay.

2. Complete Quests Strategically

Quests are the primary way to earn XP in GPO. Here’s how to approach them effectively:

  • Mobs Quests: They are the main way to gain ALOT of experience.
  • Boss Quest: Honestly… For XP its not necesserly worth it, do boss only if you seek for loots or to have fun.
  • Finding item quest: Not. Worth. It.

3. Use a Leveling Route

Leveling routes are pre-planned paths through different islands and areas that help you maximize your XP gain. Here’s a basic route to follow:

  • Level 1-10 (Starter Island): Start with the bandit quests on the Starter Island. You should fight the bandit boss who offer you a small bonus from his accessory if you gain it (I say “if” but you have like 50% chance to have it sooo…. Yeah !)
  • Level 10-20 (Sandora): Move to Sandora and go fight some desert bandit, you can try to fight the bazooka boss. He isnt necesserly challenging and you can gain his bazooka.
  • Level 20-30 (Shell’s Town): Fight on Shell’s Town farming corrupted marine then go fight the boss at the top hoping to gain his accessory for bonus but he is quite difficult alone, bring some buddies with you.
  • Level 30-65 (Zou Island): Transition to Zou Island and at this point we suggest you dont change to Baratie since there strength are way advanced compared of zou citizen for a low difference of experience.
  • Level 65-70 (Sphinx Island): For these levels go to Sphinx island and fight the monkeys. Do NOT challenge the king gorilla alone, he is very powerful and can heal itself and if there is monkeys around him he will invite them to the fight. It is suggested to have atleast 2 allies within your level or obviously only 1 allies if he is level 200 and more.
  • Level 70-110 (Arlong Park): At this point this is where you are gonna be for awhile. Simply defeat the 10 Saw Shark Pirates and when you have a chance bring some friends or a high level to defeat the boss Arlong if you are eager to gather is weapon.

Following this route reduces travel time between quests and allows you to focus on higher XP areas as you progress.

4. Busoshoku Haki

The Buso Haki will be extremely important through your adventure when you will reach deeper then lvl 80, You will encounter logia enemies such as Enel for exemple. This is why we suggest you to reach the Kori Island for so.

  • How to reach there?: Go to Zou island and travel from boat betwen S and SW.
  • Who i speak to learn it?: At the top of the island you must speak to Ray but his quest cost 25000 beli.
  • 50 Yeti?! How can i succeed this?: At this point its either you kill them one by one with patience or you ask for help in chat, a high level will probably come aid you bringing all the yeti and you attack them all at once for the high level to finish them off.
  • How to activate the haki after the quest?: It is quite simple actually ! You simply press on “J”.
  • My haki is so weak… Why?: You will probably have noticed that you can barely keep it and there isnt much a difference from your normal state. That is because you must train it ! How? Quite simple, simply use it as much as possible as much. For fighting or as being half AFK or even when you are doing nothing.
  • Is there a maximum? If yes, how i’ll know when i’ll reach it?: Actually there is in fact a maximum from upgrading the haki and so far the only way to know it is by bringing a beginner sword and unsheated it for looking at the blade if there is a purple aura around it.

5. Optimize Stat Points and Equipment

After some leveling, You maybe will have regretted at some point that you allocated your stats points at the wrong direction, for exemple the famous mistake to add points in “Fighting Style” hoping to gain more damage. This is why the game will have the sweetness to offer you an item called “SP reset” (if you have done all the quest to travel to the next island) but you can also gain them from the AFK room.

  • Sword Users: Invest heavily in sword mastery and health. While normally the best outcome is stamina i suggest still health since your main source of farming is “Rapid Slashes” and its barely cost any stamina.
  • Gun Users: Focus on gun mastery only ! No point adding health since you will be far away nor a point for stamina since you have no skills so maximise your damage in your guns.

  • Devil Fruit Users: Since DF cost SO much in term of stamina it is suggested to concentrate more on having stamina to use your abilities more often and a little bit of point in fruits until you have a decent skill for farming (Try to see on wiki or youtube to know which skills does AoE).
  • Strenght Users: The necessery point in Fighting style and all the rest in strenght and health. Dont waste your time adding stamina, its cost absolutely nothing

You dont HAVE to 100% listen to this, if you feel confident and wanna do more damage by sacrificing the health then go ahead, but i think at some point if you are a beginner and wanna enjoy the game some HP should not be hurtful to have.

6. Join a Guild/Crew

Guilds/crews offer advantages like better teamwork for taking down bosses, sharing resources and faster leveling. Guild members often help each other by giving quest tips or assisting in battles. You might also get help locating Devil Fruits, learning how to fight in PvP and PvE.

I suggest you to join a crew within the 50 ranked best hoping to receive a powerful weapon for helping you through your adventure to reach level 80

7. Find a Devil Fruit

I am old so give me a break about calling me a boomer but for the lord of god you do NOT need a fruit to grind. Nevertheless, i know all too well that you will not listen to this, so there is a few way for you to gain a fruit.

Begging: So… Yes ok, it IS pathetic if you do that… But while begger are infuriating, its can work like…5% of the time, i guess? I will not explain more about this.
Search island from island: Fruits generally spawn betwen 1-4h beside a tree. So yes there is ALOT of island and without a fruit notifier its can be quite challenging to find one or atleast finding a good fruit.
Trading: This is a little pointless but you can try to join the trading hub hoping that someone is generous to give you a fruit.

8. PvP

No matter what will happens, do not activated your PvP. There is no point you do and however tell you to activated it for any reason is a scammer who simply wanna kill you for trolling and discouraging you.

Do i need a fruit to grind easily?

Absolutely not, 1 sword style for exemple is an excellent way to grind properly and be somewhat strong.

Is there a map in Grand Piece Online?

Currently there is not, but few quests such as “Haku” can help you to give you direction of your next island. The recommanded quest also offer you a compass and the wiki of Grand Piece have the sweetness to let you see a good updated map.
